Software & Control Engineer - 6m contract - £360 a day - Northampton
We are looking for skilled, creative application software engineers capable of delivering solutions of the highest standard on fast paced and technically challenging projects. You will be working for a well-known automotive company therefore experience working in the automotive industry is highly preferred.
Role Specific Accountabilities
Develop the HIL testing capability of the production software group.
Design plant models and communication interfaces to allow detailed closed-loop testing of control ECU's.
Specify the hardware and communication interfaces to control ECU's and support the build of custom wiring.
Develop the HIL capability to support automatic regression testing of functions and diagnostics.
Knowledge, skills and experience required
Minimum of 3 years in a software development/testing environment, preferably Automotive.
Knowledge of the full production software life cycle including requirements, design, code and test.
Excellent understanding of automotive hybrid systems operation
Knowledge of dSPACE HIL testing hardware, configuration and setup.
Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (eg CAN, LIN, Flexray)
Experience of Scripting languages such as M-Script, Python, CAPL, etc.
Use of calibration, diagnostic and measurement tools such as INCA, CANalyzer, CANape.
