Systems Engineer (Linux any flavor, they use Suse)

Location: Peachtree City, Georgia

Direct Hire

Managers Notes

This is currently a team of 2; they are looking to add a 3rd resource due to organic growth and project load. Culture fit is very important for this role (they are easy going and laid back; trust is also huge for this manager. He has to believe that the candidate is being transparent, open and honest.

This is essentially a production support role (not infrastructure/operations but applications); this group provisions Servers and deploys new applications and upgrades.

Client has 4 data centers spread throughout the country, and each one has the capability/redundancy to host everything. They run SUSE Linux, but the flavor isn't important. He just needs somebody who can maneuver though Linux. He is willing to consider somebody without Tomcat experience if they are a "go-getter".

This team is responsible for 24x7x365 support and they rotate support on a weekly basis. There isn't a lot of after-hours work right now. They average about 2 instances per month.

The candidates must have Tomcat experience (configuring Tomcat not just starting and stopping). This person needs to have a go-getter/"I can figure it out" mentality.
